Stephanie Potter

Director of Environmental Policy at PepsiCo

Member of the Board since May 2022, Stephanie Potter is the Director of Environmental Policy at PepsiCo where her priorities include advancing PepsiCo’s environmental policy agenda in North America across priority issues such as packaging, water governance, regenerative agriculture, and climate policy to achieve the company’s pep+ (PepsiCo Positive)  sustainability ambition. Stephanie came to PepsiCo from Nestlé USA, where she advocated for well-designed policy to improve production practices and optimize recycling infrastructure and oversaw sustainability initiatives to accelerate Nestlé’s progress toward a circular economy for packaging. Stephanie previously served as Executive Director for Sustainability and Circular Economy at the U.S. Chamber Foundation. There she oversaw collaborations focused on circular supply chains and recycling and recovery and supported the U.S. Chamber in refining its approach to ESG and climate action. Prior to that Stephanie created and implemented a sustainable business strategy for North American corporate clients at Rabobank, the premier financial partner to the international food and agriculture industry. She began her career investing in venture growth at Ashoka: Innovators for the Public and Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund (SV2). Stephanie is an adjunct professor of sustainability at American University’s Kogod School of Business. She graduated with Honors from Stanford University with a BA in Political Science and an MA in Educational Policy.
