IT Manager

Location: Anywhere within the United States
Reports to: Director of Organizational Design

THE ROLE:

The Recycling Partnership is looking for an IT Manager to deliver subject matter expertise around our IT infrastructure and cyber security requirements. The IT Manager will manage the day-to-day technology operations and security needs of the organization to ensure they are properly designed, maintained, supported and secure.

WHAT WE WILL TRUST YOU WITH – and how you will use your strengths.

  • Create and maintain system standardization parameters for hardware/software
  • Provisioning new staff with access to our software stack and new computer set-up
  • Supporting staff IT issues (access and troubleshooting technical and software issues)
  • Create and maintain IT documentation and processes as it applies to day-to-day staff activity and for onboarding new staff
  • Maintain and document hardware and software inventory, equipment passwords, and software installation settings
  • Train end-users on various technologies by providing instruction and documentation
  • Research new technologies and make recommendations to ensure the IT team will meet current and future business needs and objectives
  • Oversee the IT-related components of onboarding and offboarding staff members
  • Build and maintain IT security solutions, tools, and protocols needed to support the integrity of our cyber security platform through oversight of email security, internal security, backup and recovery policies
  • Evaluate and provide recommendations on how to improve our process, systems, and efficiency including new platforms, applications, vendors, and processes

AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE – things that matter most for this role.

  • Strong hands-on technical background administering Windows and Mac OS devices
  • Experience auditing IT systems, implementing security and access controls, and administering user accounts across a 100+ person organization
  • Proven experience administering cloud-based software including Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, HubSpot, Zoom, Slack, etc, while partnering across the organization to improve cross-functional collaboration and efficiencies through technology and process
  • Strong customer service and solutions orientation
  • A proven track record of implementing new IT systems from concept to full deployment
  • Experience orchestrating a suite of no code tools such as Notion, Airtable, and Zapier to improve the effectiveness of systems and the teams using them
  • Prior experience applying Service Design and or User Experience practices to improve processes and systems is a plus
  • Proven experience leading and project managing the migration of data across cloud services
  • Able to understand, communicate, and document complex technical systems and concepts
  • A demonstrated ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects
  • CRM/HubSpot background is preferred
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, scripting languages, and database tooling

The Recycling Partnership is a rapidly growing, action-focused nonprofit, overhauling the U.S recycling system and activating a circular economy for packaging. We work on the ground with thousands of communities to transform underperforming recycling programs and tackle circular economy challenges. We work with companies to make their packaging more circular and help them meet their climate and sustainability goals. And we work with government to develop the policy solutions that will address the systemic needs of our residential recycling system.
