Software Product Manager

Location: Remote, anywhere in the U.S.

Hours: 40 hours, Full time, exempt employee

Salary: Up to $110,000

The Recycling Partnership is a rapidly growing, action-focused nonprofit, overhauling the U.S recycling system and activating a circular economy for packaging. We work on the ground with thousands of communities to transform underperforming recycling programs and tackle circular economy challenges. We work with companies to make their packaging more circular and help them meet their climate and sustainability goals. And we work with government to develop the policy solutions that will address the systemic needs of our residential recycling system.

About the Job:

As Software Product Manager you will manage the development of Circular Economy Software Tools.


  • 50% – Support Circular Ventures team in development of Pathway to Circularity App and maintaining Plastic IQ
  • 50% – Lead development of Behavior Change App

Preferred Knowledge, Skillsets and Experience:

  • Familiarity with Agile Software development process
  • Knowledge of Packaging, Circular Economy, Recycling or similar ESG/Sustainability topics
  • Comfort interfacing with different database technologies and other cloud services
  • Organized, detail oriented, ability to translate from big picture to detailed user requirements
  • Strong analytic and data visualization skills
  • Basic mapping and geospatial analysis skills

Love of data and changing the fundamental nature of our economy

Specific Experience Necessary

  • Experience with Agile Software development including working with developers to estimate and prioritize features
  • Working in a corporate, consulting, software or sustainability nonprofit
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree

Experience with some of the following: Power BI, ArcGIS, Python, SQL, Mongo DB, D3.js visualizations
