Vice President, Global Sustainable Product/Packaging Platform at Procter & Gamble

Semi Konak is currently the VP-Sustainability at Procter & Gamble and leading Global Sustainable Product & Packaging Platform across the company to deliver P&G’s Ambition 2030 and 2040 sustainability goals. This includes driving strategies towards 100% recyclable and/or reusable packaging; 50% reduction in virgin petroleum-based packaging, and Net Zero Green House Gas emissions across supply chain. The role also includes development of external partnership and engagement models to elevate the overall circular economy, recyclability thru piloting multiple business models.

Prior to this role, Semi led end-to-end North America Oral Care Supply Chain (with $3B in sales, organization of 1000 people, 4 Innovation Technical Hubs, 10 manufacturing sites, Central Planning Center). He was also, responsible for Global Oral Care Supply Network Operations for all supply chain planning capabilities inclusive of cross-regional planning for 100+ Supply Chains, logistics, and digitizing supply network. Over the course of his career, Semi has built in-depth hands-on experience in all aspects of the supply chain (manufacturing, distribution, customer facing, strategic supply network design, planning) and his impact into the broader sustainability scope across the company (packaging, product, waste, climate). He has led the total supply function for multiple business units (Oral Care, Home Care, Fabric Care, Family Care, Duracell) and regions (NA, LA, E/MEA), has developed global/regional business strategies, managed several divestitures, implemented downsizing and restructuring programs, successfully led major cost/cash/service transformation, built strategic external partnerships, started up operations and driven post-acquisition integration. Semi has 30 years of professional success in P&G with an exceptional experience in both Emerging and Developed markets and can easily adjust to a fast-paced change environment having lived in seven countries, four continents and run end-to-end supply chain operations serving 100+ markets worldwide.
