How do I RSVP, and by when?
RSVP via email to Events Manager Tricia Tiedt (events@recyclingpartnership.org) by Monday, March 9.
Why was my city selected to participate?
The Recycling Partnership selected invitees using population and recycling program data in an effort to bring together 50 of the largest communities with similar program attributes, geographically distributed across the United States. Whether seeking to improve cart-based curbside collection, clean up contamination, or engage residents on how to recycle better, all 50 communities will come together to learn and share their successes, challenges and innovations – with the goal of creating local sustainable recycling programs that drive national and global economic and environmental change.
I am a selected participant and want to bring another representative from my community to the workshop. Is that allowed?
Yes. Communities may send up to two representatives to the Summit, but The Recycling Partnership will offer only ONE expenses-paid opportunity to each community (i.e., (1) two-night hotel stay, (1) travel stipend, and (1) complimentary registration). Additional attendees are responsible for their own travel and hotel stay. Additional participants must be involved in the budgeting, planning and/or operations management of your community’s residential recycling program. Attendance by additional participants is subject to approval by The Partnership.
I am a selected participant but cannot attend the Summit in Detroit May 12-14. Can I send someone else from my office/department in my place?
Yes. Following the same RSVP instructions listed above, simply name the alternate representative from your community and include them on the email. The alternate participant must be involved in the budgeting, planning and/or operations management of your community’s residential recycling program. Attendance of additional participants is subject to approval by The Partnership.
