Alex Stockler, Public Policy and Government Affairs Manager

He/Him/His

A recent graduate from the University of Massachusetts, I am excited to bring my skills to bear in such an impactful space. Before returning to school, I worked on political campaigns in varied roles. I value this experience because it helped shape my relational skills including my ability to actively listen to others and share nuanced points of view. This work also helped me to understand how a system is implemented is equally as vital as how it is designed. Designing systems with the understanding that people are ultimately going to have to do the work is something I believe leads to more thoughtful and impactful decision making, and more streamlined implementation.

Why I Care About Recycling and a Circular Economy

I care about a circular economy because of its ability to empower and uplift everyone within it. Investing in people through education and nurturing shared systems are ways for all to be involved in the collective healing of our only home.

Personal Passions and Interests

Outside of work, you can find me trying out new recipes for dinner, playing music, and spending time with friends and family. I also enjoy exploring new cities, trying new restaurants and coffee shops, and finding a place to play some pool.
