Anthony Brickner, Visual Media Designer

(he/him/his)

Anthony specializes in graphic and web design, video project management, and asset management. He works closely with The Recycling Partnership’s communications team to create engaging designs and campaigns to educate citizens, support communities, and push the circular economy forward in America. After earning a  bachelor’s degree in visual communications in 2017, Anthony took his career abroad as a volunteer graphic designer for an anti-sex-trafficking nongovernmental organization in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Most recently, Anthony worked as the digital marketing and design lead for an organic baby-product manufacturer in Asheville, North Carolina.

Why I Care About Recycling
“My passion for sustainability sparked in college, but really ignited after my time in Cambodia. I saw that the happiest people in the world were also some of the poorest; surrounded by trash that was mostly put there by Western influence. To change the world, you have to start at the problem. For me, that looks like helping Americans recycle better, waste less, and move toward a more circular economy.”

Personal Passions and Interests
When he’s not brainstorming new design ideas for The Partnership, you can find Anthony hiking around the mountains of Asheville, playing and writing music, and converting a Chevy van into an on-the-go home!
