Linnea Skierski, Policy Implementation Director

She/Her/Hers

Linnea has demonstrated her lifelong passion for fostering sustainability throughout her career. She brings a broad work history to The Partnership,
including grassroots work experience in regenerative agriculture, nonprofit food recovery, community compost collection, building community foodsheds, and running farm-to-school programs. She has also directed sales and marketing at recycling SaaS startup, Recyclist. As one of the California Resource Recovery Association’s newest board members, she is passionate about empowering local government leaders in implementing zero waste and climate initiatives. She is now able to further that passion on The Partnership’s Policy & Innovation team, helping implement crucial circular economy and extended producer responsibility legislation.

Why I Care About Recycling and a Circular Economy

“I was raised with the mindset that everything has a use: past, present, and future. From the food we didn’t finish on our plates to the clothes that don’t fit us anymore — there is a place for them. Many places, actually, and without fostering a circular economy, the world stops spinning.”

Personal Passions and Interests

In her free time, Linnea can be found in her backyard, tending to her family’s vegetable and flower garden, or outdoors somewhere with her partner, baby, fluffy Great Pyrenees, friends, and some local beer.
