Whitney M. Webber, Director of Public Policy & Government Affairs

Whitney has many years of policy experience, most recently as the Campaign Director for Responsible Fishing at Oceana Inc. where she led teams to implement policies to protect the critically endangered North Atlantic right whale, end the domestic sale and trade of shark fins, and promote responsible fisheries management. Prior to that, she was the Associate Director of Federal Affairs at the University of Pennsylvania and the Legislative Director for Congressman John Murtha. As Director, Public Policy & Government Affairs, Whitney supports recycling policy efforts at the state and federal levels.

Why I Care About Recycling

I see recycling as a win-win: a win for the environment and a win for the economy. Reusing materials not only helps clean up the environment, it also reduces the need to extract more from our planet and keeps those materials supporting a circular economy.”
